A wave of cyber attacks has recently disrupted some of the UK’s most recognisable brands, exposing the growing scale and sophistication of digital threats. This article delves into the most significant incidents — including breaches from 2025 as well as incidents from 2023/24.
In May 2025, Marks & Spencer suffered a major cyber attack that compromised customer data and disrupted online operations. In May 2025, Adidas disclosed that hackers accessed customer contact details via a third-party helpdesk provider. No payment or password data was stolen, but the breach affected customers in the UK, Turkey, and South Korea.
