Your passion, our purpose

At Tysers, we know that for Drivers Union members, cars are more than just machines, they’re a passion, a lifestyle, and a serious investment. That’s why we’re proud to support members of the Drivers Union to offer insurance that’s as exceptional as the vehicles we protect.

When it comes to high-value cars, standard policies simply don’t go far enough. You need specialist cover that reflects your car’s unique risks and worth. Whether you own a single supercar, classic or sports car or a full collection, our expert brokers deliver a concierge-level service, helping you to find comprehensive protection at an equitable price.

We’re here to make sure your pride and joy gets the cover it truly deserves.

Why use a broker?

We know that every motorist wants to secure the best possible deal on their insurance. And with comparison websites just a click away, it’s easy to assume they’ll deliver the most cost-effective solution. But when it comes to protecting high-value or luxury vehicles, that assumption can be costly.

Comparison sites are built for the mass market,  not for exclusive cars or specialist cover. They often overlook the finer details and rarely compare the full terms and conditions that truly define the value of a policy. That’s where things get risky.

Insurance isn’t just about price. It’s about understanding what you’re actually covered for. Comprehensive protection goes far beyond valuation and excess, it’s about the full scope of your policy wording. And unless you’re fluent in insurance jargon, navigating that complexity alone can be a challenge.

That’s why we’re here.

Our expert brokers take the time to decode the details, ensuring you get the comprehensive cover for your car,  not just the cheapest. Because in the event of a claim, inadequate insurance could leave you seriously out of pocket.

Prestige car insurance cover can include:

  • Agreed value policies
  • Laid-up cover for restoration projects
  • Protection for performance modifications
  • Limited mileage discounts
  • Spare parts and accessories cover
  • Multi-vehicle options for collectors
  • Any driver cover
  • Tracking system funding support (subject to insurer)

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Agreed Value coverage and Market Value coverage?

When choosing car insurance, especially for high-value, classic, or specialist vehicles, understanding the difference between Agreed Value and Market Value cover is essential. These two approaches determine how much you’ll be paid out if your car is written off or stolen, and the difference can be significant.

How much will I pay for my car insurance?

It’s impossible to estimate an exact insurance premium, as motor insurers assess risk based on a wide range of variable factors. However, the model and engine size of a vehicle play a significant role in shaping the cost of cover.

Cars with larger engines or high-performance specifications are typically associated with greater speed and power, which insurers view as a higher accident risk. Similarly, premium or specialist vehicles often come with expensive parts and require specialist garages for repairs, increasing potential claim costs.

Supercars and high-value models are also more attractive to thieves, which can further elevate premiums. Beyond the vehicle itself, insurers consider the driver’s age and experience, as well as where the vehicle is stored and driven, including geographical location and security measures.

Vehicles that are driven less frequently are generally considered lower risk, which can lead to reduced premiums. If your car is used occasionally, such as for weekend drives or seasonal use, be sure to mention this, as insurers may offer limited mileage discounts or tailored cover options.

Premiums also vary depending on the type of cover selected (e.g. agreed vs. market value), the level of excess, and any additional protections added to the policy.

Working with a specialist broker ensures a more comprehensive market search and detailed product comparison, far beyond the headline quotes offered by aggregator sites.

Is it possible to purchase a multi vehicle policy?

Yes, our brokers can provide quotes for multi-vehicle insurance policies. These policies can offer cost savings and make managing multiple vehicles easier, as they share a single policy and renewal date.

However, it’s important to note that adding higher-risk drivers to a multi-vehicle policy may reduce the benefits of bundling. In some cases, individual policies could be more cost-effective.

We recommend comparing both single-vehicle and multi-vehicle policy options to determine which approach works best for your needs. Our brokers can help guide you through the process and provide tailored advice.

Am I covered if I participate in a charity run, tour or convoy?

We understand that supercar and classic car ownership is about more than just driving, it’s a lifestyle. That’s why our policies can be extended to cover organised charity drives, supercar and classic convoys, tours and club events. Simply let us know about the activity in advance, we’ll ensure it’s disclosed to the insurer and confirm it operates within the agreed terms and conditions of your policy. Our goal is to keep you fully protected while you enjoy every moment of the experience.
