Tysers, a leading, independent Lloyd’s broker, announces key senior hires across broking, claims and operations as part of its strategy to expand its core Marine and Aviation, North American P&C and Retail business lines. In addition, Tysers is expanding its Dubai office as it seizes opportunities for growth in strategic international markets.
Tysers continues to build out its expert Marine and Aviation team with two specialist hires. Ethel Chan joins as a Director and is based in Singapore. She previously led the Marine Specialty team at JLT and brings extensive direct and reinsurance experience. Ethel will be instrumental in driving Tysers’ growth trajectory in Asia. Diana Sailor will join as a Director in London. She will join Tysers from Zodiac Maritime and will bring expertise in the placement of complex Marine risks. Diana will work closely with Tysers’ marine clients to secure bespoke coverage and mediate claims.
Tysers is expanding its North American P&C team with the appointments of Chris Cavani, Director, and James Morgan, Associate Director. Based in London, Chris and James will bolster Tysers’ established team of expert brokers and bring a deep understanding of the P&C market and exceptional client relationship skills, including expertise in handling Direct & Facultative property placements. Chris and James will report to Tim Stokes and Henrietta Butcher, Joint Managing Directors, North American P&C.
Strengthening its Retail business, Tysers welcomes Paul Scott as Operations Director and John Franks as Claims Director. Having held several senior management positions at RSA, Allianz, QBE and Marsh, Paul brings 35 years of experience in broking and client-facing roles to Tysers. John joins Tysers with over two decades of claims handling experience. He joins from Erskine Murray Insurance Brokers where he served as Head of Claims.
In addition, Tysers continues to expand its global presence with broking hires in its Dubai office. Arjun Venugopal, Associate Director, Jack Plom, Broker, and Adrian Briffa, Broker, will join Tysers later this year. The hires reflect Tysers’ strong position in the Middle East and its ability to capitalise on growth opportunities in strategic international markets.
On the appointments, Clive Buesnel, CEO of Tysers, commented: “This is an incredibly exciting time for Tysers and our clients. I’m delighted that such fantastic talent is joining Tysers as we continue to grow our business. The hires demonstrate Tysers’ ability to attract and retain exceptional talent across multiple business lines and geographies.
